Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin the governor of Alaska is also as everyone already knows is John McCain’s VP pick.  She served on Wasilla City Council from 1992 to 1996.  She also chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.

Jennifer Granholm

Jennifer Granholm was born in Vancouver became the first female governor of Michigan when she took office on January 1st 2003.  Granholm was also Michigan’s Attorney General from 1999-2003.

Janet Napolitano

Janet Napolitano is the governor of Arizona.  Time magazine named her one of the five best governors in the United States.  She won her seat in 2002 with a mere 46 percent of the vote.

Kathleen Sebelius

Kathleen Sebelius is the governor of Kansas.  She was named as one of Governing Magazines Public Officials of the Year in 2001.  Since winning the election she has gained popularity becoming one of the most popular governors.

Christine Gregoire

Christine Gregoire is the governor of Washington.  Her election in 2004 was the closest gubernatorial in Washington’s History.  She ended up winning by a mere 129 votes.  She was also elected to Washington’s Attorney General.

Linda Lingle

Linda Lingle is the governor of Hawaii.  She is Hawaii first republican governor as well as the states first female Governor.  She also served as chairperson at the 2004 Republican National Convention.

Ruth Ann Minner

Ruth Ann Minner is the current governor of Delaware.  At the age of 73 She is the oldest serving governor in the United States.  She is also the Longest Serving female governor.

Jodi Rell

Jodi Rell became governor of Connecticut when John Rowland resigned because of a corruption scandal.  She served as a state representative from 1985-1995 before becoming Lieutenant Governor.
