Husqvarna may be better known for their havoc wreaking chain saws that can cut through trees like a knife through warm butter, but this little beast is making friends with Mother Nature.  Already in her good graces, the Electric Automowers cut down on Greenhouse gas emissions by taking gasoline out of you the yard care equation.  This Solar Hybrid model takes Husqvarna’s eco-friendly courting to the next level by adding a massive solar panel to the top.

WTP 170: DARPA’s Urban Challenge, Wikipedia’s Jimmy Wales, and Facebook in Lebanon

Posted by PRI's The World: Technology from BBC/PRI/WGBH

This week's podcast is full of fun and frolics. First, the Bush Adminstration's offered to let NGOs and faith-based groups set up computers and internet access in Cuba. We'll look at whether that's likely to happen. Also, Darpa, the research wing of the US Defense Department, is offering $2 million to anyone that can build a robotic car than can drive itself through a simulated urban environment. Then, an interview with Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales. And we'll end with a segment looking at the popularity of Facebook in Lebanon. That reminds us -- The World's Technology Podcast is also now on Facebook. Find out more at http://www.theworld.org/?q=taxonomy/term/5. Tags: ,

Whoa, that's really complex. My first project was making a serial cable for a graphing calculator and I managed to screw that up a bit. It was about 1 million times simpler than this.

I recommend starting with these more simple and fun projects over at the robotstore. Tags:

That's pretty much it :) For the project you linked you should probably avoid breadboard and make your own pcb though. This method use photosensitive boards nice and easy or you can use stickers to lay out the board and then use some ferric chloride (again radioshack) Tags:
